The Aspetuck Land Trust Blog

Aspetuck Land Trust Inc. is a non-profit Connecticut Corporation devoted to preserving open space and the natural resources of Easton, Fairfield, Weston and Westport for the benefit of the public. It was formed in 1966 by leading area conservationists. Through generous gifts of land, continued efforts of volunteers, and cooperation from town agencies, the Aspetuck Land Trust has preserved over 1,700 acres of land, which will be maintained in a natural state in perpetuity.

Huge Tree at Eno Marsh Preserve

I stumbled upon this massive tree at our Eno Marsh preserve in Westport. It may be a Tulip tree - hard to tell as the leaves were still emerging to true shape. A preserve map/location is on our website. Click Maps/Westport/Eno Marsh Preserve for directions. The entrance is at the train station parking lot off Saugatuck Ave. Not a pretty entrance, but if you hike in, half way through on left is this great tree. Check out the video I took below. It is worth the short hike in! I am taking my kids to see this tree.
